The seminar on corruption prevention was held for heads in the land sphere of Kyiv region

"Content, principles, key provisions of the new anti-corruption legislation of Ukraine" - such was the topic of the seminar for heads of structural units of the Main Department of Derzhkomzem in Kyiv region and its territorial bodies with participation of representatives of the Main Department of the State Service for Combating Economic Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kyiv region. During the event comparative analysis of the Laws of Ukraine “On Combating Corruption” (1995) and “On Basics in Prevention of and Countermeasures against Corruption” (2009) was made, practical examples of application of anti-corruption legislation concerning civil servants were mentioned, comprehensive answers to questions were given.

Besides, the work plan of the Department in regard to informational-explanatory activity was reviewed, in particular, focus was made on enhancement of the overall level of legal education of Kyiv region residents in the sphere of land relations. The decision was approved to direct efforts at more close cooperation with local mass media in this respect.

It was also considered a number of organizational and personnel matters.

Summarizing the event, Acting Head of the Main Department O. Fokin noted that the practice of holding legal seminars, discussion of the most controversial issues directly with participation of heads of territorial bodies will be continued in the future.
